The Kyozen Shin Chasen is a formal, classical bamboo whisk handcrafted by skilled artisans using carefully selected Shichiku bamboo, naturally aged and cured for approximately three years to achieve optimal flexibility, strength, and durability.
The Shin form is one of the most traditional chasen shapes and is favoured by multiple tea ceremony schools for its balanced structure and precise whisking performance. Its disciplined design allows smooth, controlled preparation for both thin and thick matcha.

Care Instructions
– Soak whisk tips in warm water for 1–2 minutes before use
– Rinse with clean water after use
– Do not use detergent
– Air dry on a chasen holder for best longevity
– When used for ingredients other than matcha (such as milk), the bamboo may absorb residual scents. To prevent odour retention, rinse thoroughly with water immediately after use. Do not use detergent.
